United by Heart: Hope and Healing at Hospiten Puerto Vallarta

In a world where good news can feel rare, some stories remind us of the power of compassion, the miracles of modern medicine, and the beating heart of a community committed to change.

On July 4th and 5th, Hospiten Puerto Vallarta hosted the First Follow-Up Clinic for the “Unidos de Corazón” (United by Heart) Campaign, a milestone in pediatric cardiology and a reflection of Hospiten’s deep commitment to human-centered healthcare.

Under the leadership of Dr. Sandra Pacheco López, pediatric cardiologist at Hospiten Puerto Vallarta and medical coordinator for Ayuda a Corazón de Niño in Jalisco, the clinic successfully evaluated 13 young patients who were treated during the initial heart campaign. Of these, 10 had undergone catheterization and 3 had received cardiac ablation.

The results were inspiring: every child showed significant improvement in overall health, weight, and growth  a powerful testament to the medical and human mission behind this initiative.

But that wasn’t all.

Opening Doors to New Hope

In addition to the follow-ups, the clinic opened its doors for new diagnostic evaluations. Seven children were assessed, and two have already been identified as candidates for corrective treatment in the upcoming “Unidos de Corazón” event. For these families, a new chapter of hope is just beginning.
